Host a Birthday Party at
Space to Create

Parties available for kids ages 5 and up. Party includes craft project, 2 adults to lead the project and all supplies needed for the project.

Party Details:

Cost: $200 for 12 kids ($15 per extra child)
The family is responsible for snacks, cake and presents.

We work with parents and kids to individualize the party.  Suggested projects include but are not limited to the following:

Ages 5 and up

Rock Critters, Critter house and journal (optional)- using rocks create your own "pet" then decorate your new pet's home using wood, rocks, seeds, fabric and more

Mosiac a plant stand and decorate a pot - hand paint a pot for an herb or sesonal flower then mosiac a plant stand with sea glass, rocks and tile (ungrouted)

Create your own planet.  Party goers will decorate a rocket and land on an undiscovered planet.  They get to name the planet, create the inhabitants (think beads, spools, wire, googly eyes, paint, pipe cleaners…) and the topography of the planet (think sand/gravel/paint/mountains made of crumpled newspaper and tissue paper, craters, etc).  The “planet” will probably be about 1’ X 1’.  What is the power source on the planet?  Does the planet have water?  Gravity? All these details can be recorded in a journal.

Marble Maze.  Party goers will create their very own marble maze.  Using various materials – wood, cardboard, tin, spools, etc. – party goers will make a myriad of shoots and switch-backs that the marble will travel down.  To get everyone in the maze mode, partiers will create a collaborative large-size maze in the back courtyard.

Create a Kingdom.  Along the lines of the planet party, participants will create their own kingdom—and what kingdom is complete without a castle?  Using cardboard, paint, pre-cut stencils, and lots of imagination, kids will create turrets, draw-bridges, moats, flags and the like as well as mini-Kingdom dwellers.  Think paint, sand, gravel, etc.

Ages 8 and up

Paint a self portrait - using acrylics on paper or canvas paint your self-portrait. Includes drawing lesson and color theory

Reassemble a "Master Piece"- a cooperative project using a poster, each child receives a section of the poster to re-create the original

Game boards - using stamps, fabric paint and some hand sewing create individual game board for checks, penny toss and tic tac toe

Ages 10 and up

Mosiac a mirror or picture frame - using tiles, found objects and/or sea glass mosiac a mirror or picture frame.  This project will be grouted during the class.

Jewelry - make fun and colorful daisy chains, earrings or pendant necklaces
